A days flying in Ashburton with the Aviation Museum. Julie and I left on an early morning flight to Ashburton enjoying the sun on our face as we flew north past Mt Cook. During the day we had the absolute pleasure of taking Mr Jim MacDonald on a nostalgic flight. Jim will be 90yrs old next week and was a fighter pilot with the NZ Airforce and learnt to fly in tiger moths over 70 years ago. The joy on his face after the flight is the reason I do what I do “well done Jim” we owe alot to men like you. We enjoyed a smooth flight back to Wanaka arriving just as the sun set over the Southern Alps
